Fall Orientation is your official welcome to Sonoma State!

Designed for all new undergraduate students starting in the fall semester, Noma Nation Orientation is a required program that helps you get connected, informed, and ready for your SSU journey. Participation is mandatory for all incoming undergraduate students. If you’re unable to attend, please contact us at [email protected] or by calling (707) 664-4464.

Once you've accepted your offer of admission and paid your Enrollment Reservation Deposit, you'll have the opportunity to select your Orientation date by accessing your MySSU Student Center online. Throughout this transition to SSU, all orientation-related communications will be sent to the email address used in the student's application for Sonoma State University.

  • Log into your SSU account.
  • Click the "MySSU tile" (blue icon with Seawolf paw).
  • On the drop-down menu, click from "MySSU Homepage" to "Student Self-Service."
  • Select the "Applicant Self-Service" icon (two people shaking hands).
  • Click on "Noma Nation Orientation" 

  • Set up your SSU login Make sure you know your SSU username and password, and set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your mobile device. Click here for instructions. If you need help, contact the IT Help Desk at (707) 664-4357.
  • Complete the Student Toolkit – The online Student Toolkit gives you a preview of the courses you’ll take in your first semester and shows you how to register. Finishing it ahead of time will help you feel prepared.
  • Request accommodations (if needed) – If you’d like disability-related accommodations for Orientation, complete the Orientation Accommodation Request Form. A staff member from Disability Services for Students will follow up to make sure you have the best possible experience.
