Participating in Noma Nation Orientation is mandatory for all incoming students.
Please follow the steps below to reserve your orientation date:

Log into your MySSU account.

Select the “Applicant Self-Service” tile.

Select the Noma Nation Orientation option from the menu on the left-hand side and follow the steps to complete your reservation.

You will select your orientation date based on your academic plan.

What’s Happening Throughout the Day:

Check-In: Starts at 9:00 am. We’ll have some tasty breakfast refreshments waiting for you. Several of our campus resources and departments will be tabling at our Resource Fair, so stop by and say hi to them!

Advising & Registration: Receive group and personalized advising alongside other new students in your major and start building your Spring ‘25 class schedule.

Campus Tour: Enjoy a guided walk around campus, highlighting all the amazing services and resources that will help support you during your academic career at SSU.

Lunch: Connect with your future classmates over a delicious meal in our Kitchens, our main dining area inside the Student Center.
Here are some steps to help you prepare for advising and registration before you arrive to Orientation:

You need to know your SSU username and password, as well as set up your Multi-Factor Authentication using your mobile device. Here is a link with more information and instructions: https://it.sonoma.edu/kb/security/mfa-for-students

Review the online Student Toolkit (link below) to give you an overview of recommended courses, as well as learn HOW to register for classes.
